Only 3 days into 2014 and course is closed

Played yesterday in good golfing conditions with a decent wind to make it interesting, nothing today as its a bit to windy and raining but playing tomorrow and as usual its full course ,no mats no winter greens and course in really good knick .

They even rolled the greens on hogmany which gave them a decent pace for January

Nice little range, it's about 10 miles from me. Had a look at Izaak and their web page says the course is away !! which I guess means closed ;) We ought to get together for a game one day.
 
Saturated in SW Scotland where we have had awful weather since Christmas.
Five big trees down in our village.
On 30th Dec I drove up from N Yorks and they were closing the roads going north in front of me.
My only option was to drive to Stranraer and up the A77. Dumfries was cut off when the River Nith bust its bank.
 
Fully open at Hayling, only been closed for 3 days since I joined 16 months ago and that was because it was under snow last winter :)
 
Played Sprowston yesterday - all fine

Back home tomorrow and hopefully playing Sunday and Monday
 
We were open yesterday and today but its currently lashing down enough for me to seriously consider building an ark. I can not see it being open tomorrow.
 
We've not been fully closed yet but have been carry only for the past few weeks - not affected me as I've been back home.

Course open and supposed to be playing tomorrow morning but the forecast is dire. Can't see our river holding it's banks if much more rain comes down between now and then as forecast but won't find out until the morning - stableford cancelled though :(
 
Wokefield Park closed until at least Tuesday with a review in the morning. Jan stableford canx tomorrow, which is a shame.
 
hasnt stopped here all day, heavy and windy- forecast for weekend is unbelievably worse than today :angry:
 
Our course wasn't closed today, but it probably should have been. It was extremely wet under foot, and the greens were very soft and obviously being damaged by players' feet. I believe that all the other courses in the area were closed. We gave up after 7 holes because of a violent hail storm. Not nice at all! No sign of the wet and windy weather abating for the next few days at least!

Any rules you want changed to assist you playing in the rain ;)
