personally I've only been following golf a year or so, Damian McGrane always impresses me as a workman like pro.

He's now won one event and with a bit of luck I think he will win a couple more.

I doubt he will ever be up the top of the order of merit/race to Dubai mind.

Nick Dougherty is from Shaw Hill my regular playing partner used to play with him when Nick was 15,my mate turned pro then jacked it in,just was not good enough its a fine line out there

If you listen to David Livingstone there is a new star born on the European Tour every week.

I'm not knocking, there's just so many players of equal ability out there who on their day will compete with the top top players but for whatever reason will not churn these performances out every week/tournament.

We've got the lowest hadicap golfer in Scotland(+6) at our club about to turn pro this year.
Big things are expected, but like you say it's a different matter having to do it week in week out.
I'll be keeping my eye out for him though.

Robo,

The way he hits his driver and long irons at times is scarey.

Ball striking went up another level watching and playing with Chris never mind Tiger and his cronies.

Big change for him last year though was in his mindset, accepting he had hit a bad shot and doing his best to get up and down. before he'd let it affect him too much.
