Anyone know the spread of shot that a clay pigeon shooter would have to hit the clay at that distance? I would imagine it is a lot wider than the width of a golf Ball.

I disagree feary, I think this is better!! And I would say harder, having to time the machine and also hit the shot tht accuratly would be very hard shows the quality of the pros and how much better they are then us

Shotgun dispersion varies with different chokes in the barrel but the spread increases by approximately 1 inh per yard the shot travels i.e 20 inch spread @20 yards, 40 inch spread @40 yards. You're getting towards the end of the guns range with clay size shot at around 50 yards.

Note also that clay shoots vary in direction, loft and velocity; in the golf video they simply shot clays on the same settings, it was simply a matter of timing a straight shot over the machine to hit one. Not that I could have hit one...

I think the clay pigeon one is harder, but the i think the pro's on the gong shot had more banter and made it a better video.

This one definitely harder than the gong shot. Great to see the pros having some fun - reinforces what is said about the camaraderi on the European Tour.
