I am off 11 (10.5)

Pre season was exceleent then I went and got my peepers zapped and set me back 4 weeks

I usually start the season well and I would like to get down a stroke by the end of April

I would love a trophy but more importantly I want to get to 8 or 9.

I have changed my swing and just about everything else over winter, im now playing really steadily and looking forward to some good scores this year.

I currently play off 12.4 and my teaching pro has set me a target of 4 by the end of the year. i will see how it goes, but as long as the white tees don't make the course majorly more difficult, i should be able to reach that target so long as there are enough comps to enter. ive seen the fixture list for the year and there are about 20comps that i can enter, this seems not very many?

Currently 17.4, having practised hard and played consistently to about 14 / 15 this winter i'd be happy at 14 by the end of the season.

Goals - take my medicine and don't have a blow up hole in a medal

What are you off at the mo?
I am currently off 12.

Have you prep'd for the season starting?
I have played through the winter with mixed fortunes.

What will do you hope to do to your cap in the first couple of months?
Over the first couple of months my aim is to improve my short gamme, cut out silly mistakes which seem to be causing me 2 doubles a round and generally be more consistant.

Do you think there is a champion inside just waiting to burst out?
If I get enough time to practice I feel I can improve my handicap and hopefully compete for a couple of trophies this season.

Not too much to ask for is it?

Am currently off 28, hoping to be a 18-20 by end of season. Big ask but I am sure the shots are in my bag and in my ability.

I actually joined my club in November with a view to playing over Winter and taking lessons so as to hit the floor running come start of season.

Once my confidence in hitting consistent shots is up which -- thanks to lessons, playing and practice - it is, then I will be in for the medals and stablefords. Expect a quick drop in handicap to 22 - 25, after which I will need to work a bit harder.

Champion waiting to burst out - probably not. A consistent golfer who enjoys regularly pulling his score below 100 - definately.

I read in our pro shop that the first 3 competitions of this year starting this week are non qualifying, fourball betterball, yellow stableford then another fourball competition, only stroke.
Why do we have to start the season so gently? I just want to get stuck in with the proper competitions instead of these partners games.
Rant over aaaaaand breathe!
