A fox nicked one of the 4-ball's on the 17th at Ashdown Forest - Hotel Course as it was then.

Do scrotes count?
Any number of wee beasties (from a couple of areas) likely to run off with balls on 16 thru 18 at Silverknowes! Had to 'ask permission' to play through the Football game they were playing on the 17th green once!

A fox on our 6th. Playing a practice 9 with Mrs BiM for company one Friday evening and hit a corker up the left. As we are about 100 yards away Reynard trots out towards the ball. Little git waited until I was almost there before nicking it & trotting off nonchalantly. He then sticks his head out again and I go after him, much to Mrs. BiM's amusement. Eventually give up in disgust & return to a giggling Mrs. BiM.

Played the following Sunday and find my ball, chewed to bits, within feet of where it was stolen.

Plenty of lost balls as a member of Wimbledon Common in the school holidays. Several holes were notorious for kids appearing on bikes and whipping balls off fairways and off into the distance. I use to deliberately use old battered balls or Penfold commandos/Top Flites if there as a bad spate

Yep, I know those. Devious creatues. They lie in waiting motionless beside the fairways and then, when no one is looking, they jump right into the path of the ball Further south they disguise themselves as palm trees, but the tactics remain the same.

Only time it happened to me was on our 4th hole, walking down the fairway and my ball was swooped on by a crow. I proceeded to run down the fairway and luckily it dropped back in to play! My playing partner was in fits of laughter watching me sprint down the fairway after this crow! :rofl:

I know a couple of people on last years H4H at Camberley Heath has theirs nicked by a fox on the first green

Not happened to me yet, but there are wallabies that have escaped from the Zoo, so who knows
