Sorry not been around a while folks. Had so many problems logging on since the change. Anyway glad to be back, but 2000 posts to read!!

Back on subject.

It's early days yet, but I (well actually we) have another sprog on the way, to add to our 20 month manic son.

Can't really see how I'm going to get any time to myself for the next couple of years to go and play golf, let alone afford it.

How does anyone manage it, or do I have to accept the inevitable? :D

IMHO you've only got one real choice. Accept the consequences and shelve all golfing desires for the forseeable. Get out for the odd game when you can. When they're a bit older it gets easier and then you can get back to "work".

Took me 5 years...................

Well done Happy, great news on the baby front.

Like others have said, drop the membership and focus on the new member. I am sure you will have ample invitations from friends at your old club and on here. Instead of playing golf with your spare time you will be looking for a bed to grab some much needed sleep.

If you venture north for whatever reason I will sign you onto Shotts and buy you some lunch ;)

I've just started takingmy four year old, he got a set for his birthday (Bag, driver, 5 iron, 7 iron, PW and putter)

They're a tad long for him at the minute but he knows what he is doing and really enjoys it.

It's great when there is golf on the tele and we have visitors. I knows the difference between fairway, rough and green and always surprises everyone when he says 'he hit a wedge onto the green' (granted he thinks all irons are wedges at the minute, but not bad for a four year old)

He watched the US Open play-off with me and when ever he sees Woods on the tele he always asks wher Rocco is and askes if they're best friends!!!

Congratulations!

I've got two kids who were only eighteen monthes apart and, if it's any help, having two isn't that much more difficult than having one. The extra workload involved in looking after two young kiddies is offset to agreat extent by the experience you've gained first time round. Yes, you need to do more, but you do it quicker, more easily and with less stress.

You'll still find the time for some golf, i'm sure.
