I don't think James makes the grade as a commentator anyway. Add in his half baked effort of RC captaincy and arguably failing to capitalise on his talent when playing then you can see I'm no fan either

Fair comment in my opinion, I was sick to my stomach that when Rory brought back the US open the morons in Belfast were having a riot, its hard to be proud when you're from Ulster. Those responsible should feel embarrassed they give commentators the ammo, but I doubt if they are capable.

It is also unwittingly ironic. Clarkey (my former clubmate) is a Protestant but happily places for Ireland, Rory's father is RC but Rory went to a state (effectively Protestant) school, and GMac is comfortably liked by both sides. All play under a variety of flags and represent all the people in NI.

So these guys are about as well integrated and as good an example to others as you could hope for.

This remark doesn't offend me as someone born and reared during the most heated period in NI, but I don't like Mark James at the best of times, because he is neither funny nor informative. He has always been an utterplonker, and always will be.
