that's so wrong and pretty sure against CONGU h/cap rules
No idea tbh. I assume thats how they've always done it though. There must be a reason why they do it this way..

We dont even have to return our card at ours. If you dont nothing happens. no NR, no DSQ, no .1 back, nothing. When the list of winners go up there isnt even a mention of anyone who hasnt returned their card.

I've noticed after browsing my club's howdidido competition results that there are often a few people at the bottom with NRs. This weekend there were 6 from a field of 64. I could understand this in a medal as people might give up on a hole to save time but can't understand it in stableford.
Are people doing it to save face? Have they broken the rules in some way and are forced to record a NR?
Also does it effect the CSS? I was thinking if those 6 scores were bad scores surely the CSS would be higher and by recording a NR they are doing a disservice to the golfers who have had a good round.
I'm a bit confused by NR's in stableford on the how did I do website. I finished on 37 points which I know probably wouldn't have won but I did NR one hole as couldn't score so picked up.... but when I got emailed the results for the competition the standings are based on strokeplay, with all the NR's down the bottom- now one of these NR's could have had 45 points and won but in the standings it doesn't show it like that?
Can how did I do not display it in terms of points? Or has it been a mistake either by the club or the HDID website?
The pro or whoever else it is that takes the card out the box. That's nuts - apart from everything else - who checks the winners signed scorecard then?
