I seen that photo of your gaming cave. Looks awesome. I used to play snes and n64 till I was blue in the face. fell out of love with gaming till call of duty came along. Now that's all I play from time to time.

Fancy reliving my old gaming days.

Got a great emulator for Android. Linked with Wii remotes via bluetooth and connected to the TV via a HDMI cable. Did a great job but nothing like having to blow the cartridge

Now I've got the Xbone I've taken to downloading games between me and a bro so effectively we both get the games we want for half price by alternating who pays. Thankfully the dodgy OS sometimes has hiccups so the 21st century cartridge blow in now holding a power button for 10 secs ;).

Goldeneye on n64 when you tilt the cartridge, those were the days.

You're judging him on one act, we have no idea of what he does or doesn't do for Charities or his personal circumstance, if he'd bought at a boot sale of a family who was skint for the same price, would you expect him to hunt them down and give them any money he made?

I have nothing else to judge him on, and it makes no difference. In this instance he's selfish and is screwing over a friend who tried to help him out, which is made worse by the fact it's also screwing over a charity.

I've the same when i've broken cars for parts. I've helped a mate out with bits where i've made no money, then found out he sold the bits straight away, and made considerable cash off them. The fact he hid it from me shows he knew it was wrong. So just curious as to whether the OP had told his non golfer/owner/friend?

If I was the old fella that pegged it. I'd find the OP and haunt him.

Re: Bargain ( following on )

I had the green screen version too Gary.

(Thought this subject deserved its own thread).

I wasn't lucky enough to own one of these. my child minders son had it. first console for me was the sega mastersystem with alex the kid in miracle world built in.

Re: Bargain ( following on )

Amstrad cpc 464 , loved Oh Mummy, Harrier Attack, Predator and a few others.
Nintendo NES Teenage mutant ninja turtles, Robocop and wrestling, loved it! Developed an odd fault where you had to close the sprung door at a certain angle to read the carts.
Megadrive, Sonic was the only game I remember on it.
Snes wasnt bad for all of the mario games, loved mario 2.
I always wanted either s NeoGeo or a Philips disc console, I played the golf game in currys and was hooked (literally!), loved the wide array of commentaries on it.
Still love getting to play the odd game on the laptop, battlefield 4 at the moment.

Re: Bargain ( following on )

I remember being blown away the first time I laid my eyes on a sega game gear. full 8-bit graphics on a handheld device. madness.

Re: Bargain ( following on )

Started out with a spectrum (Atic Attack, Knight Lore) then a Commodore 64 with Way of the Exploding Fist and the Last Ninja being classics. Then had a Master System for a bit before the Megadrive blew me away with Shinobi and Sonic the Hedgehog. Then I bought a SNES with Mario kart, Goldeneye ans Streetfighter taking up my time at uni. Also had a 486 pc for playing Xcom (Still my favourite game ever) and we played multiplayer Doom on the university library network. After that it was a PlayStation, Xbox, 360 and now I have an Xbone and a pay. Currently playing Driveclub, Dragon Age and a bit of COD but at my age the reflexes are not up to really competing on COD anymore

First computer i had was Spectrum ZX,use to make your ears bleed when loading games.
Next up was a Sega Master system with Alex the Kid built in.
Then I did the unthinkable and switched to the Super Nintendo.

Gaming is crazy now,I use to play COD online, loved it.
Only games I really play now are Lego Marvel/Hobbit,Fifa or wrestling with my son.

Not sure what Minecraft is all about. Terrible game.

I dragged my SNES out of the loft a while ago. Had some fun with mario kart, super bomberman, mario, streetfighter2. Got bored and flogged it all on eBay for about 200 quid!!!

Vic 20 my first computer, those were the days, spending hours typing in a program from the video games mags only for it not to work lol. Went onto C-64 and played a mates Speccy a lot (he had that Hyperdrive thing which loaded games much quicker than tape), christ knows how many hours we spent mapping Tir Na Nog and Sabre Wulf etc.
Missed all that Amiga stuff but went onto Megadrive then Snes (Jap version with floppy disc loader), PS1, original Xbox, Xbox 360, PS3 then PS4. So yes, I think you could say I've been a gamer all my life :D
