Still pouring it down in the NW. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice though so clubs will be coming out then.

for once it appears that Hull isn't in the north, as it's blowing a gale outside and p'ing down. Perfect for a 3 clubs and a putter round this afternoon

Jeez mate!.....I went to the range this morning and even regretted that! Rain was blowing into the bays and couldn't get my 7 iron to carry as far as my 9 normally goes. Pulled out the 52 deg and machine gunned through the basket as quick as I could, then back home sharpish!

Managed to play Cottingham Parks on Friday in our winter roll-up away day, was amazed they let us on, but fair play to them, the course played very well considering. Played a league match yesterday at home, but 2 holes were closed......followed by the full course today!

It was good practice trying to hit shots and draw them against a left to right 40-50 mph wind at the range this morning. It was a very quiet. There was supposed to be an open day there with the pro giving free lessons and other freebies for kids. He came up to me and gave his card and said that he would do it when the weather was better!

I think he felt I deserved something for trying to practice in that weather. It felt cold enough for December.
