North east/ Darlington game 10th/11th march

Now that i'm finally starting to play some half decent golf i think i'm confident enough to let some strangers see me play! haha.

So does anyone fancy a game next week on either thursday 10th or friday the 11th of march?

It would most likely have to be at a course in Darlington or not much futher away as i can't drive and if we were to play thursday it would need to be around 12pm or after so i can get a few hours sleep after my nightshift on the wedendsday night but i can play at anytime on the friday.

No problem, at the mintute i can play every other weekend so maybe sort something out for a few weeks time when were all free and the courses and the weather are in better condition?

Normally I can play ANYTIME but at moment got weekend overtime on.Distance is an issue for me as I am not a car driver.

Personally i don't like it that much, bit stuffy and towards the back end of last year they had serious problems with worm casts on the fairways.

I prefer stressholme where i'm a member, when the weaather gets better the course is going to be in really good condition.

Darlington GC is a really nice course aswell and obviously Rockliffe blows them all away, it really is worth paying the extra money to play it.

I'd be willing to use public transport to play some courses your way aslong as it didn't meen to much hassle getting to the course.

Have heard amazing things about Rockliffe hall, hope to play this year.

Yeah really is something else, course is always in perfect condition and it's never really that busy so you can take your time and enjoy it.

They have a deal on till the end of the month on a tues/weds/thurs £45 a round with a bacon sandwich and a coffee which aint bad considering it's normally £5 for a bacon sandwich and £2 for a coffee! haha

They also did twighlight deals last summer for £40 a round during the week if you played after 4pm

Havent played Stressholme for a few years now but was in nice nick last time that I was there. For a Council run municipal its definitely very well looked after..... a lot better than the muni in Boro anyway

Yeah they look after it well and they have been doing quite abit or repair work on a few bunkers over winter which was suprising considering it's owned by the council and with all the cuts they are getting.

The muni in Boro is alright imo for the price, but it is a bit boring.

I'm up for a game on a weekend some time. I was a member at Stressholme until last year. I'm at Romanby in Northallerton now.
Stressholme is a great course i will definitely be having a knock there when the weather gets better. Where a bouts in Darlo are you? I'm Bates avenue. Cockerton

I live at Hewitson road, just off yarm road where the wheatsheaf pub is.

Bozza: Ive done a fair few games humping a golf bag around on buses,makes you feel like a right knacker,but my love of golf helps overcome that at times!

I would do it the odd time but I think me and you are too far apart to bus it to meet up....1 of us at least would need car help
