No work = Trip to American Golf

Did you try any hybrids? My G20 is currently in the good corner of the bag but it's been a bit hit and miss from the outset so still no overly confident with it...

get the i20's, they look nicer, unless you like orange :p

if your gonna go brand new & spend your hard earned then I would get proper fitted somewhere, if not for anything other than peace of mind.

Didn't hit anything other than the irons, wanted to give the Hybrid a bash but I was made to feel like I was intruding on their conversation about football, the salesman gave me a few sticks and a range token then buggered off.

Just done a search on the Cobra website, unfortunately there isn't anywhere near me that does a proper fitting by the looks of it. There is however a place near my in-laws in Burgess Hill, just spoke to the guy who said they'd get me on the Flight Scope machine, get me hitting some balls with the Amp as well as some other sticks and go from there.

And Gibbo, I liked Orange before, now I love it!

Now that you know you hit the cobras well maybe go upto braintree AG and use the monitor there? They do have a monitor/simulator at colchester but have never seen it in use so i'm guessing its been broke for some time. Now that you know what sort of distance you hit them you can just ignore that exagerated figure on the monitor in braintree and hopefully the spin/dispersion figures should be accurate enough?

If its not too late I'd throw the R11 irons into the equation. Thought I was taking a backwards step going from TM TP's to them but they longer and straighter thant the TP's and with a better ball flight. Not going to win any beauty awards but a very solid and functional club

swanny, when i was fitted for the driver it was between the AMP & I20, the AMP driver was 15 yards longer than the I20. since having the driver 2 pro's at the range have had a slap with it and both were very shocked how easy it was to hit, and the best bit is the hybrid is even better, i picked up the 17* hybrid in the same spec of ebay at a steel.

dont rule out their woods, they are awesome!

Has anyone else noticed that the Orange advertising on this site appears to be having a subliminal effect on people? Its like we are being conditioned to accept orange as a natural golf colour scheme..

Absolute bobbins that the I20's are geared towards single figure handicappers. So easy to hit and launch, anyone that like a bit smaller clubhead but with a nice bit of forgiveness in them will like em. Take notice of him on that.

I had like you the G10 and in the end hated the look of them, fat ugly heads way too chunky soles and top line

Changed them for Wilson Staff Ci9 from AG and massive improvement in every way

Liked the Wilsons so much i then got a set of Di11 and although a little larger than Ci9 thay are very easy to hit and good distance

Do not miss the G10 at all, howver the i20 looks a nice club

Incidently where in Colchester is AG i didnt know they had one in Colchester and have been to the rubbish Nevada Bobs instead !

I shrugged his comment off, I saw for myself I could hit them so it's obviously a load of rubbish. Unfortunately for Ping, the Cobra's went better.

It's at Lexden Wood Golf Club or now known as Play Golf Colchester.

Not ruling them out in the slightest, in fact I was planning on upgrading my entire bag, minus putter and wedges.

It's a possibility I guess, but I'd still like to see the stats for the other clubs I hit and I know that as soon as I ask for other clubs to try they'll start trying to flog me anything and everything.

Interesting. When you say went better do you mean distance or flight or both? Good luck anyway I know how hard it is to settle on some clubs when you are looking for new shinies.

Just get the Cobras - they have been making great irons for a few years now on the quiet. I love mine to bits and preferred them over the mizuno mp59,63 and 69 not to mention all the other bats I had a go with.
As has been mentioned the woods and hybrids are great too.
