Nike - What a difference a Day makes

I have the same discussion with my 17yr old son. He likes tops that are too small, fitted apparently, I like a "loose" fit, too big supposedly. I guess the discussion here is can JD carry it off. Is he young, ripped and hip enough.

Horses for courses, I like that Nike push the boundaries. Adidas seem to be making the same stuff they have for 10 years!

Naturally there will be those that like the dawn of this new Day, I'm just in the 'No camp'

For those that haven't seen it

Jason Day with his size and physique fits the Nike "Athlete" bill perfectly with clothes more fitted to the player. I'm not a fan of Nike gear generally, don't like the collar less polos but IMO (shoes aside) they are not that different in terms of styling. Adidas shoes IMO look miles better than any Nike offering.

Never been a particular fan of Nike, was always Adidas for me, but I agree with Bomber, the Adidas golf clothing of late hasn't really changed much for a good few years. Their shirts and colour options are pretty limited. Have recently bought a couple of Nike tops which I like, but have been moving to Under Armour in general of late. Adidas still remain top for Shoe design though.

I have that exact top on right now :D Pec's looking on form!
I too have the grey one and recently bought the 'Hasta' green version.

It is genuinely the best zip top I've ever bought. It fits great, is light and doesn't affect my swing. Much better than any Adidas top I've ever bought.

Nike seem to be trying to appeal to the younger golfers who are interested in fashion and I think are trying to take sales more from Puma and Ricky Fowler than Adidas. Seems sensible business as I'm sure young people spend more on clothes and are more conscious that everything must match and are willing to try bolder colours and looks that will get refreshed regularly compared to us oldies who normally stick with similar colours and styles.

Nike are now a clothing brand and will therefore have the cash to splash on players and many will wear anything if the price is right. I don't really pay too much attention to the fashion and prefer to let the golf do the talking

His attention grabbing day 1 outfit seems to have done the job.

We now all know he wears Nike when we otherwise (well I wouldn't at least) have known.
