Another day another thread :mmm:
Inspired by the Pre Game thread.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Our Saturday roll-up group normally plays early in the morning and most of the same players always play our comps around this time too.
So maybe 60 minutes earlier some of us have been in bed. We've rushed to the club to make our tee time and done little or no preparation prior to taking on our brute of a 1st hole (par4 - 435 yards uphill normally into the wind) The rationale for this slapdash approach is because to play in the middle of the day writes off the entire day to golf, so the early start is a compromise to suit other commitments.
Obviously this isn't a great idea if we are focusing on getting our handicaps down, and of course we are our own worst enemies and perhaps it speaks volumes about our commitment; but ask us all our goals and we all want to go as low (score in the comp and handicap) as we can. So then...
Have any previous early starters on he forum made a conscious effort to change their comp tee off times to something later in the day to see if their consistency and scores improve, and if so, has it worked / is it working?
