having taken my adidas 360's back to the pro shop 3 times with leaking and heal wear problems i decided to give the nike lunar shoes a go. the guys in the shop had them so i thought 'if they are on their feet all day and like them then they must be good'

after 2 rounds all i can say is what a fantastic pair of shoes they are. without doubt the most confortable i have worn to date. the grip is great and they dont seem to collect loads of mud like my 360's did. looking at the sole they have saced out the spikes a little so perhaps thats whats done it.

i would highly recommend these golf shoes

I have to say the newer arrivals in the shoe market like Nike and Puma are doing a good job compared to established players like FJ, and to a degree, adidas. There seem to be a lot of posts on these boards about loyal FJ customers becoming increasingly disappointed by the quality, and adidas users who've had to take them because of comfort, build quality or leaking issues. In the 90s, it was a no-brainer... FJ all the way for shoes, but these days I think they are way behind in terms of styling, and now it seems, quality as well.

im tempted to the ecco comforts next. look tidy. but for this winter its another pair of FJ AQLs for me.

glad to hear your getting on well with the nikes.

Yep. Been preaching this for months. Stellar shoes. I bought them just before Beau Desert this year, wore them for 9 holes before hand then put them on for 36 straight holes at Beau. The only discomfort I had at the end of the day was my little toe, but that was because I'd failed to dress myself properly and my sock was bunched up right at the end near my little toe and started rubbing towards the end of the day. Nothing to do with the shoes, which have never caused any discomfort.

People forget that Nike have been making running shoes for years. They know their onions when it comes to footwear and spend ALOT of money on R&D developing their running shoes - which is where the Lunar technology comes from in their golf shoes.

They can be had for a pretty reasonable price too.
