I know some of you think of Nike as a shoe manufacturer but I just tried out the covert 2.0 driver 5 wood and 4 hybrid and all I can say is wow. That's the first time in a while I've been that impressed with a product. Low prices locally now as well so may just take advantage later.
The 5 wood in particular stood out, was going past my 3 wood, likewise the 4 was going past my 3h and so simple to hit.
Driver looks just awesome, would need on course tinkering though

Just recently upgraded to Nike Covert 2.0 Irons, and they're awesome. Such a true ball flight, and so forgiving. Absolutely love them, and am now very keen to try out their new equipment, the Vapor range looks great.

They have plans on being the number 1 golf manufacturer within the next few years, and I reckon they'll achieve it. The products they are releasing now are top quality. The only area, I think, that they'll struggle is with the ball. The Pro V1 will be tough to beat

Sorry to dampen your spirits but I tried and hated the Nike covert driver. It felt completely dead and the sound was so dull it felt like all the hits were mis hits.
However I think this was the original Nike covert and not the revised one.

I trust you realise Rory plays Nike clubs, Tiger played/plays Nike clubs and a whole lot of other top Guys and Gals (Charl Schwartzel, Suzanne Peterson et al) play Nike clubs. So more than just a shoe company.

But Golf is only a tiny bit of Nike's brand - something like 3% from memory!

Btw. As far as Golf is concerned, Nike is a much more a marketing brand rather than an equipment one. Though that could change.

Yes there's definitely a snobbery when it comes to buying golf gear.
Personally I'm not a fan of the look of the new Nike drivers,bit too much going on for me.
Much prefer the look of the Titleist 915.
But I haven't hit either club so I'm basing it on looks alone.

I played with someone yesterday who had a Nike Covert 2.0 Driver. Gorgeous looking club, if you like that type of thing and frankly I do. Seemed to blat the ball a very long way as well.

I've heard very good things about the Nike Vapor driver coming out of Golf Support by word of mouth.

Also last year, know a single figure player who had the Covert 2.0 driver and he used it to deadly effect.

Finally, gotta give Nike props about the shoes, had two pairs of theirs so far (to complement some FJs) and both been excellent.

I'm a fan of Nike Golf and have been for a long time. A lot of the more "traditional" players label them as basketball clubs without ever giving them a hit or even looking at them. I'm in for the vapors and when they're released will try the pro-combo's (reviewed in this months GM by the way) and see if my game is good enough or potentially good enough for them to improve me. If not i'll give the vapor speeds a go. Look out on the for sale section for some absolute bargains on Covert 2.0 Driver and Irons !!!!!!!

On my second set of irons, and eyeing up my third whilst my last 3 Drivers have been Nike.
Their kit has improved as their golf investment has increased, and feedback from my pro who was invited to the 2015 product launch says the new kit has raised the bar again.
I would recommend them to anyone.

Nike do some good stuff. Some of their balls (Nike One etc) were great and their Method putters are great. Some decent iron sets but never felt liked their drivers although my goes are fairly sporadic and no doubt down to the use and not the weapon

I had the driver, it is mega long but not very forgiving, ended up selling it because miss hits just didnt go anywhere.

Never warmed to NIKE golf clubs. Tried different sets over the years, my dad had the original Pro Combos and my brother in law the sling shots. I've tried more up to date stuff too, but never hit one and thought 'I need me some of these'

but when it comes to clothing I only wear NIKE or GG. NIKE Golf trousers and the DRI-FIT socks are so comfortable,
