I'm sure he's still better than most.
I'd happily take advice from him.
Definitely, he just needs to remember that in golf he's a nobody that's all.

He's growing on me but I'm not keen on blokes that stand licking their face in the mirror! On saying that it's a no brainer for him and similar to Coltart, he'll earn more money being a pundit than a player 👍🏼
Honesty is a good thing though and it's clear that he's now accepting that he's cr@p, good on him but he needs to lighten up a bit with the advice ... bearing in mind that he failed he doesn't need to talk like he's a past superstar! If he's tuning in then good luck 👍🏼
I would definitely not say he has failed, he lost his way, which most probably came from off course troubles. He was very close to his mum and her death was a big shock. I would also say he is not now crap, agreed he doesn't play to his previous level or that of the European Tour, but I am sure he could go out and shoot a few under on any course outside of tournament conditions. In my eyes not someone that is now crap.
I think I quite like peaceful laid back commentary on golf.![]()
Hmmm, yeah for us he's obviously good but from the tour side he's a poor also ran, that poor that he can't get on the tour! I've got no idea how many times he tried to get his card but one fail is enough, curtains!
One fail is enough! What about other players that have 'failed' more than once trying to get their cards. Scott Hend, Chris Hanson and Matthew Southgate are three that spring to my mind without even looking, each having good seasons this year.
Never been greatly impressed by him as a pundit, to be honest, but I did think during the Ryder cup that he was improving so could be a good move.
I've been a bit disappointed that coltart seems more on the sidelines now, I do think he's good.
He`s ok and as long as he isn`t allowed to bring his "bride of Wildenstein" lookalike wife along, I`ll be happy.

The Links Diary about ND is a very good watch. Gives a really good insight to the touring pro and how it can go wrong very quickly.
Available on Sky catchup thingy in the sports section.
I like him. He was good with Butch predicting the results. Don't think he got many right though.
Get rid of Richard Boxall though. Didn't realise how dreary he is until watching the Ryder Cup all day. Just blandly agrees with everyone else, and has no original thoughts. Ewen Murray is showing a bit of personality now Sky have got Rich Beem. Don't know why Rich was wasted on the course, get him in the box.
I'd like to see forum member StuC on sky, that would be quality entertainment![]()
