NFL 2025

Pats win over the Texans ,but I'm not convinced, they only got to the red zone once in the while game and maye was sacked five times.
They’ll still beat the Bo nix-less broncos next week.

Seattle’s win very much reminded me of the all round performances of their Super Bowl season. Next week will be tough though, regardless of who wins tonight

Have you seen Jarrett Stidham play football? Him against a Mike Vrabel defence is not a good matchup.

But, if they prove me wrong, then I'll doff my cap. Just can't see it happening. They're not the same without Bo Nix.

I know it’s going to be very tough

It’s going to be a battle but Payton is clever , he won’t be going down without a fight

Well I called 5/6 games correct last week including a couple of underdog wins. Much harder to call this week. Both the 49ers and Bears had some weaknesses exposed last week though, and they’ll be even more exposed this one. Darnold has recovered from injury. Bills still have Allen and a great pass defence which should be enough. Texans/Pats is the tough one to call, but everyone seems to have forgotten the Texans are a warm weather team just because they’re a defensive one, so….

Bills, Seahawks, Pats, Rams to win this week.
3/4 this week and 8/10 overall predicted correctly.

From here it’s so easy I don’t even have to wait for the injury reports.
New England beat Denver easily with Nix out.
Seattle beat Rams easily - they’ve got home field; fixed their mid season defence problems to the point they’re nearly at Texans level - while the Rams have defence issues they haven’t fixed and Stafford is not quite at his (excellent) peak.

Then Seattle win the Super Bowl.

Hope you’re right!

On a sidenote, did you see the CJ Stroud stat re his passer rating against the Pats from Sunday? If he had thrown the ball incomplete on every drop back, his passer rating would have been approx. 39% - he played so badly, his passer rating was 28% or something like that

Yes, pretty astonishing! A mediocre QB, used to warmth and a dome, playing against a good D in bad weather with crowd noise against and big match pressure.

It was very ugly.

The Texans defence were playing at near Ravens-in-2000 levels to keep them in that match. (Year 2000 Ravens were a bad offence but were smart enough to know that punting was fine as their defence was quite capable of scoring by itself - just don’t give turnovers - so would often play safe rather than attempt 3rd and longs; no ego allowed - someone should tell CJS this - just doing that might have been enough for the Texans too!)

2/2 more correct predictions ticked off despite Rams excellence making it closer than expected (Stafford is a proper player).
Now 10/12 overall predicted correctly.

Squirreladamus still says it’s a Seattle win in the Super Bowl. If he plays anything like last night then Devon Witherspoon should be the MVP, although in reality they’ll just give it to the winning QB like always.

I backed Kenneth Walker as my Super Bowl MVP a couple of weeks ago at 17/1. Hope we get the run game going and he plays out of his skin.

Might not be a bad shout you know. He's been running like a man possessed these last few weeks. And more credit to him, since Charbonnet was getting a good chunk of the carries earlier in the season - he's been patient and taken his chances when he's got them. He had some unbelievable key runs on Sunday.

Proper nervous already. We were massive underdogs going into the SB against The Broncos and it feels the exact opposite this time - but hopefully the coaches keep them grounded and they go out and do the job.

Still so tired from Sunday - going to be 10x worse in 2 weeks haha.

Yes, not a bad idea at all I reckon - he's been extremely impressive the last 2 weeks and could well carry the main load of their offence. You feel he's got a bust-through-the-safeties-for-a-70-yard-touchdown run brewing at some stage too, the way he can bounce out, accelerate and step people. NE defensive ends had a bit of a habit of running past the play vs Denver too.
