HTF did we not win that
We made them look so good for the first quarter. The ball retention was awful.Watched the Jets game.
Time for Rogers to hang up the boots.
As for Adams
And Justin Tucker looking mortal - who knew!Never known a game day with so many bad kicks! Unreal
Disappointingly, even current players were calling us out as being soft. However, not the best look when the player calling us out got trucked more than once by Josh Jacobs. For Miami it's not so much cold weather, it's just good teams. The good teams on the schedule happen to be cold weather teams and the games are mostly on the road. It's the usual story of getting dominated on both LOS, OL committing numerous penalties as they are so outmatched, falling behind early due to the defense not being able to stop anyone and our coach then going all Madden to try and get points back that lead to more offensive penalties.
I think Miami might have set a new record for missed tackles in a game last night as I read they had 20 missed tackles. That will surely put to bed the claim by Deshon Elliot (safety last year for Miami) that the Dolphins are soft.
You should look at how many points Miami gives up on the road, it's hilariously bad. Going into every road game against a decent team knowing you need to score 30 to have a chance puts a bit of pressure on you.
Seen some footage of his previous “misdeeds” and they amount to 2 slightly late hits on the sideline. Nothing there for me.Big debate about this right now in the NFL circles - Shaair is a total thug and is being punished as much for this as previous indiscretions. On that play, Lawrence went down late and there was no way the defender could avoid such contact. One of the other issues is when a QB goes to the sideline and fakes going out of bounds. The defenders shy away from contact in case of a late hit.
This will come up at the Owners meeting in February when rule changes are discussed. It is a combination of coaches and GMs that go through all the potential changes. For now, nothing will change except the NFL talking heads will go both ways over it but something will be done in the off-season.
Agree, it was the forearm lead that was the intentional bit - at least the Kiko hit was with the shoulder I think (but looked bad in slow mo, although everything looks bad in slow mo).Thought it was intentional even if Lawrence did slide late. Just look at how low Shaair was, he was at ankle height when he hit him, so he knew the QB was sliding and still hit him. The forearm smash kinda sealed the deal for me. Reminded me of the hit Kiko Alonso put on Flacco a few years ago. Even as a Dolphins fan I hated to see that.
Something does have to be done about QB's who run though. I'm sick of watching Josh Allen pretend to slide then try and truck a LB, I'm amazed someone hasn't laid him out. Same with Mahomes and his twinkle toes down the sideline for an extra 20 yards as no one can hit him because if you try to he steps out and then shouts for a flag.
Chris Simms is becoming an excellent analyst. I was there the day in 2006 when he nearly died on the field and lost his spleen in surgery that night. He was never the same player again. Shame as he was becoming a really good young QB for the Bucs. He's also a really decent person off the field too. I caught part of that discussion last night - good points on both sides.Good discussion on this on PFT Live today about the rationale and clarity (or lack of it) in the 3 game suspension.
We should lend them VARAnother pet hatred from the NFL this season (agree about Mahones being a serious whiner). Every receiver looking for a pass interference flag when they don't make a catch. Exhibit No.1 your honour is the Bucs' Mike Evans.
Talking of receivers, Dionte Johnson has shown why two teams have gotten rid of him for nothing after his latest stunt in Baltimore's last game. Refusing to go and play. He has worn out his welcome in the NFL now.
