Just a quick hello to all, this is my first post. I play at Chesfield and Panshanger...Just getting back into it after not playing for a few years. Best score so far is 97 at Panshanger. Playing their again this Sunday. Been reading a lot of old posts picking up tips etc. Lots of good information :cool:

Hello and welcome. I live in the North West, but my one of my daughters lives in Welwyn, I have played Panshanger a few times with the son in law. Its a great course and got my BP of 90 there. Needed a par on the last hole par 5 to break 90, but got a bogey 6.


If you got your PB there and I got mine there too, then somethings telling me its not too difficult of a course :(
 
Thanks for all the welcomes guys. Just trying to play as often as possible at the moment so every Sunday to try and get a bit of consistency in my game. Have improved on my bunker shots, and close range chipping through tips online. Just need to get the rest of my game improved then look to get a new set of irons. Im using some Wilson LT1200 my first ever set I got about 15 years ago!

Welcome to the forum. Good little course Panshanger, great value for an interesting track. Not the longest but plenty of interest and in good nick for a muni. :thup:

There's plenty of old threads to sift through on the search function and most things have been covered at some stage, but don't be shy about posting and starting threads. We've all been new at some point.. just get stuck in and enjoy!
 
welcome aboard, fairly local to me then. I played my 1st ever round at Panshanger and it battered me :)

I must go back there soon and see how I fair now 1 year later

wow pansangher, thats one of the munis we played as kids, must be 25 yrs ago I first played there, and not been back recently, expect its not quite as open as it used to be
