Things have come a long way since my childhood and black and white tv
The first biggy was BBC2 when my dad had to buy a new tv to receive it.
Next came colour, again, another new tele.
Now I see my next tele has to come with a dual core processor to hook up with my wireless modem.
So whats next in TV technology?

The next thing is 4k with the chinese expected to flood the market with cut price sets later this year. At CES in January they stated a 50" set would be around $3000 which is cheaper than the top end LED and plasmas, could be a price war coming.

I had to look up 4K :o

Just higher definition as far as I can see.
I was wondering what new innovations will be next

4K is available now but the sets are about £15-20,000. The chinese are about to change that.

The problem is that there's no 4k content to play on it yet. There's a 4K red ray player on the way and I guess Sky will eventally push out Super HD TV but that will be years, even HD at the moment still has compression artefacts. Then this will cause massive issues with broadband for downloading and streaming 4K, much more bandwidth needed. I could go on.:D

1080 will be around for a while yet, I'm looking at the new quad core Samsung to replace my dual core.
