Was looking to go for a custom fit at the end of the year, but played at a local course the other day and they were selling a set of wilson staff fg tour v2's, 3-pw, project x flighted 6.5. so off i toddled to AG to try them in the net (different shafts, but mainly to see how they felt). liked them, so decided to take these from the pro, they had seen probably 30 balls on a range and i got them for £260, bargain, because the pro had them sent to him by wilson and he preferred his titleists so he didnt need them.
well after a few holes and a couple of range sessions, still getting used to them but have hit some great shots already, brought my spin down massively, played 6.0's in a set of callaways before, and the 6.5's still give a high flight but less spin,
overall they are lovely clubs, they feel great, look great and give good distance. one thing i didnt understand with them is that the soles get wider as the irons get shorter but it seems to work well for me as i am a bit of a digger (have taken my fair share of turf). will update later on, have a comp with them on saturday so will see how that goes.
