afternoon all
those of you who have seen our world exclusive PING i15 pics in the September issue will have already had a peek what's coming from PING but here's even more information, pictures and a video review of the range plus info and pics on the G15 range too

http://golf-monthly.co.uk/tours-and-news/tournews/384896/ping-launch-new-i15-and-g15-ranges.html

I have been using the i15 hybrid and fairway for about a month now and it's a very impressive club. Looking forward to prising the driver and irons out Neil Tappin's bag for a try of those too!

That I15 driver looks very tasty, and the dark finish is something different for Ping.

How do they play when compared to previous models, say the Rapture V2?

I'd say the i15 offers a slightly lower flight. Both are pretty long when compared to other drivers. The fade bias would be another thing you should think about. If you hate to see your ball go left, the i15 is probably worth trying.

I have been using Rapture V2 driver and fairway and Titleist 909H hybrid - the i15 hybrid is definitely staying in as I'm finding it a bit longer and easier to hit than the 909
The i15 fairway flight is a little lower than my Rapture but that may be due to shaft - have stadard stiff in the i15 fairway and a Mitsubishi Rayon JavlnFX in my Rapture which gives a higher flight anayway. Looks wise they are both pretty compact with a shallow face
as I say I haven't been able to do a direct comparison with drivers as Neil won't hand the driver over!

The question is - was Neil's drive on the green?

Good question. We got up there and my ball was at the bottom of a steep bank just in front of the green. The only explanation for this would be a) it reached the top of the bank but rolled back down or b) the Golf Monthly group, who were actually playing the hole, booted my ball off the green.

Either way, I'm confident I had the legs to get up!

Bigger question is what the hell is Tappers wearing???

Like the look of the hybrid. MikeH - as you find it easier to hit than the 909 is it safe to assume that its easier than the 585H? Could be in the market soon if it is.

yes i15 hybrid is definitely easier to hit than the 585 - for starters its a bigger head so confidence will be up for that alone

good looking range of clubs - any pro's been spotted on tour wih them yet? i am sure westwood had the i10 at turnberry, not sure about any other ping players
