I understand where people are coming from regarding long carries being disheartening for shorter hitters or high handicappers. That said I'm all for trying different tracks and testing my game but I do think a modicum of sense is called for sometimes regarding tee of the day.
I think the idea of giving a suggested handicap range is purely that. A suggestion. I don't recall seeing it in print anywhere saying thou shall not be permitted as thou is only 21 handicap. If you like it and you can afford it go for it. The new clubs may work or they may not. Purely down to the individual but the magazine can only direct you based on the information from the manufacturer and their experience.
