Good afternoon everyone.

This is my first post but Im in need of some help. I am just starting out playing and have been a bit lost when it comes to buying a set! I am looking to spend around 100-140max (dont need a bag) on a set (maybe just irons). Should I be able to get a good starter set for this? If anyone has any links to sets that would be great if not there is an American Golf shop near me.
Not sure what other info you may need. Im 5'10 so standard clubs would be fine.

Thanks in advance for your help

David

Hello and welcome to the fun! Enjoy :)

Get yourself along to the local pro get a few lessons and speak to him there's every chance he'll be able to help you out with a good quality used set and also improve your golf in the process.

if your playing at a regular course ask your pro he might have some
2nd hand sets for you to try,or ,recommend you can get from ag,there are loads of clubs out there, and the pro SHOULD be helpful,

I would also recommend getting some lessons, learn the basics from the outset and you won't go far wrong. Maybe look for a group beginners lesson which will save you a few bob.

As for sticks, the pro will be able to help but I'd recommend looking for something second hand. You'll get something pretty decent for the money you're looking to spend. I can highly recommend the Maxfli Revolution irons. You should be able to pick up a set for less than £100.

Thank you for all your comments. Im going to my local driving range tonight so will ask about classes and getting hold of some second hand clubs
