Hi all, after a bit of advice on getting a new set of irons and a decent driver for xmas. I've been playing on and off for a year, more so in the last 6 months or so. I'm using a set of Donnays at the moment, so really want to get a new decent set. No official handicap but am regularly getting round the course in 105/110 at the moment. Getting drives of around 175-200 with a Donnay thing at the moment.

Been looking at a few sets, but which ones would be better for me?

Looking to spend around £350-400. Any help deciding would be greatly appreciated.

You have picked out a pretty decent selection of easy to use clubs there. I would suggest you pop down to your local store and try them out. Get one of the guys to have a look at your swing speed and make sure you get the correct flex to suit. As you are so new to the game, I'm not sure there will be much benefit in a full custom fitting as your swing is likely to change quite a lot in the future as you improve.
Might be worthwhile getting a 3 wood instead of a driver at this stage to give you a bit more consistency but that is personal preference. And ask them to throw in a wedge as well to complete your bag.

Good luck (as a pompey fan you're going to need it :ears: )

The simple answer is go to any retailer with an open mind, try as many as you can ideally in at least a regular/stiff shaft depending on your swing speed and pick the one that performs best for your swing.

My only caveat about going to AG is that they tend to try and steer "relative newbies" towards Yonex, Wilson or Nicklaus sets as these are the ones with the biggest mark up so stick to your guns and insist on hitting the ones you want to hit

I think you can get the Burner Superfast 2.0 for the same price as your one listed so do some research first. If not the RBZ driver is only £150 now so for £30 extra you will have the latest model.
