New Balls Please

Today was the perfect day for AD333s! Glad I did not change just yet, 39 points off the blues in pouring rain.

They still limit me in the dry but a very good wet weather and cold weather ball.

I think the FG tours might be good, giving them a trial tomorrow.

I think I will still keep a stock of the 333s for conditions that warrant less spin.

I noticed that my short game and approach play improved significantly with the latter two.

If this is true, ween yerself off them rocks and buy something decent.
If the top premiums are out of the question, it's got to be some of those multi-ball super bargains off ebay. There's one ebay shop that does all the W/S balls in job lots. If I could choose between the Dx2 and Dx3, I'd get 48 in one go.
Sounds to me though you would benefit from the even better ones. :)

For normal dry good scoring conditions I need a ball that spins and takes advantage of my ability to compress it. I think I might need to do some more research if the FG tours do not work out, either that or invest in some top premium balls.

I do not loose many balls, prob one every other round and its not like I cannot afford them, its just I cannot justify the cost at this point in time. Maybe next month...

Hold your horses just a little. hindmarshsl gets backspin with all types of ball.

Its my chips and pitches that I am wanting to improve. I'm not playing bad, I just think a little more spin will help me

I am not so bothered about full shots, I can generally stop those in acceptable distances, but now I am compressing and carrying my irons well I wouldnt say no to a little extra stopping power.

Good thinking. Pitches are the holy grail if you ask me. I hope you find something that works.

Mind made up!!! FG tours it is!

Had 30 mins to chip, pitch and putt with these and liked them.

Decided to take it out on the course... shot my best ever round at the club despite not swinging well with the driver.

Lovely ball to putt with, great for the hop and stop pitches, never been able to do those with the AD333s. Amazing for its spin when attacking tight pins on par 3s, got very close on those where normally it skips off the back.

Fantastic for long irons, they stop well, great with my hybrid, fantastic with the wood. Amazing when I struck it well with the driver, no loss of distance. Outdrove the clubs longest hitter, OK he hit a wedgewood type shot... Also hit a 255 yard 5 wood off the tee, with the wind and down hill though...

Overall no significant loss of distance, maybe a yard or two. Improved ability to attack flags with mid irons, improved ability to wedge it close and pitch it close.

Putting and chipping needs work for pace as they are SOOO different to the AD333s but other than that they are amazing, even on my first time out with them!

Still cannot believe I shot 82 with a ball I have never tried before, testament to its ability to stop well and not spin too much with the driver!
