New Adidas Shoes Issue

Can anyone explain why certain clubs have banned the new Addidas shoes? I understand they make horrific marks in the greens but not all clubs have banned them. What is The Addidas Stance on it, no pun intended!!

I maybe wrong here but i think the problem is solved with the new range. Last years offerings simply had big spikes on the sole and nothing around them. This was causing them to snap off. Also, imagine all that weight on them spike. This years model has moulded studs around the spikes. I recon this will solve both probelms
