Why do the majority of people at golf tournaments cheer for the guy who "should" win?
Is it just an american thing or do people really like to see someone dominate the sport?
If the US Open was the FA Cup would we be complaining that one of the big teams had won again and theres no more romance left?

Me too Tony just got the feeling the fans at the US open were all cheering for Tiger when they were walking up the 18th.

I also get the feeling when people talk about single major winners there seems to be a suggestion that they were lucky?

Yanks don't like losers. That's why their national sports winners are known as "world champs"...... Christ they're the only ones that play most of them.

They quickly lose interest when their champs are no longer winning.

I have a fear that the ryder cup may lose its appeal if we Ar$3hole them again.

Brits on the other hand can't wait to get a champ then when we do, we can't wait to knock them.??????
