Beard proliferation

I have never needed to shave every day.

lucky you I would have been envious in my working days.

I used to have to shave twice a day once in the morning before doing my morning rounds and again the afternoon before doing my evening sales calls.

I tried growing a beard once but it was a bit of a Rolf Harris like look so it did not last long.

Once upon a time back in the day I think sported a beard…and at another time a moustache. But weirdly because I have no photos of me with beard/moustache I can doubt whether in fact I did.

I grew one last year for the first time in my adult life (mid 40's now). Just a combination of working from home and I hadn't shaved in 2 weeks so thought that I may as well let it grow since it's halfway there, it was past the prickly hair stage.

I trim it probably once every 3 weeks or so back down to the 4mm setting on the trimmer. I think it makes me look older though since it's mostly grey, my mum commented that I need to "get to one of those Turkish barbers and get a bit of colour put into it."

The nearest I've got is a few days of stubble through laziness, never really been tempted to grow one if I'm honest.
