Nedbank Golf Challenge

It's one weekend of the year that the men's golf is pushed to the red button in favour of a women's tournament, is it really that big of a deal? There's 3 men's tournaments that are on this weekend and all are shown on Sky, can't see the problem myself.

I expect earcat can outdrive and outplay even the worst of the players on the LET and LPGA.

People would learn more from watching the laides play, and funnily enough they play quicker than the guys, more accurate and easier on the eye....Unless the guys is what you like to look at Earcat.......mwah

And you have the choice to watch it

But again it still doesn't mean that a men's tourney should always take precedence over a ladies tourney

I never said that the men's should be first over the women's game. I was pointing out way people would want to watch one tournament over the other.

I personally like watching the women's golf when it's on. It's a shame that other than the majors there's not much other tournaments shown. I think the only problem with showing an event like they have this week is that not everyone can relate to the players, their just random players playing golf and there isn't much known about the players. Where as the men's golf the majority of the players people know. So when the women's golf is on and people see that only a couple of the big names are playing they are not likey to watch. But if it was shown more people would get to know the players games and find their favourites.

My response was more aimed towards the poster who started the thread. Read through his posts and you can see where I am coming from.

Out drive, yes, outplay, definitely not. You are an absolute moron for bringing the fact that I am an inferior golfer compared to the best female golfers in the world, I said that the BEST male golfers are better golfers than the BEST female golfers, which even a moron like yourself must appreciate. The women are more accurate for the same reason that men are more accurate with wedges than 7 irons, they are hitting drivers 60-100 yards less than men. Do you really watch female golf to get wood, if so then the internet will blow your absolute brains out.

You're a pleasant fellow aren't you.

A sexist one though.

I don't suffer fools.

It being sexist to know that Tiger Woods is a better golfer than Inbee Park is just like how knowing that Usain Bolt is a better runner than the 100m Paralympic champion makes me anti-disability or knowing that one of the Klitschko brothers would beat up Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match very easily is weightism. Women are at physical disadvantage to men, therefore if you want to see the very pinnacle of any sport in which both genders play, you watch men.

Wow what a post. Have you watched the pro women play live as you may change your tune, they are very good and you will pick up more tips as an amatuer than the wmen then watching the pros. As for sky showing them instead it's the final event of the season and there are two English girls in for rookie of the year and the let must have got sky to commit to the event.

@EarCat, relax in this my good man

No it isn't, as someone who enjoys watching golf on television, I expect to see the VERY BEST golf that is available, as do the majority of viewers. Therefore, Men's golf should always be shown before women's golf.

And that is sexist. - simple as that

Seeing as I am not used to talking to turnips, could you tell me what part you disagree with? Are the best men golfers not better than the best women golfers?

If you bought a new car off a car dealer on the phone, went to collect it to only to find it was sitting beside a car that was the same model, but it had a bigger engine, built in Sat Nav and leather seats, and then found out the car dealer was selling it to someone else for exactly the same price as you are buying your inferior car, would you be happy or would you be aggrieved? I pay for Sky, I expect to see the best play the game, not the best women play the game.

So you would rather watch a Euro Pro event, with male golfers you have never heard of, rather than a top female event, with the top lady players in the game ? I must be in the minority then, as I would rather watch the top women players over men ranked 600 in the world.

Any male golfer in the top 2000 in the rankings would be in a class of his own on the LPGA or the LET. Driver, 58 degree wedge to par 4's, lovely jubbly.

I agree, no argument, all I am saying is I would rather watch a ladies tournament with the top ranked lady players, than a mens tournament with golfers I have never heard of.

To be honest, I do not enjoy either, because I know I can be watching people play the game to a higher standard elsewhere.
