nearly at 100,000 posts on the main forum

Just noticed that we are only a few hundred posts shy of the 100,000 mark on the main forum and I expect the mark to be breached in the next day or so.

I'm going to sound like the stereotypical old timer saying "I remember when all this was fields" but I do remember the early days when just a few hardy souls were on here exchanging some golf chit-chat

So, well done to one and all for the brilliant banter being a place to meet new friends and arrange a knock.

To mark the milestone I will be giving a 'token' prize to the person who makes the 100,000th post. I'm sure you won't know you're doing it but if forumers can help me keep an eye on who broke the tape and let me know that would be great

Comparing your game to a cheese has to be one of the strangest posts together with the post rating various female cartoon characters in order of attractiveness.

The most useful have been in relation to rules and the one on how to repair a pitch mark properly.

Surely the GPS threads must be the most read.

I think the thread with the most number of posts was either the 'artists' or songs starting with the last letter of the previous one. I think it got to 500 posts.
