I used to take Golf Monthly for around 6 years’ ago but changed to Today’s Golfer as it came free with The Bank account I have.

Just read National club Golfer and thought the articles were good and included something on WHS, Greenkeeping staff and retaining them and the guy Steve Carrol seems very knowledgeable.

Had a review on US Open and a great article on 1913 Open where Frances Ouimet achieved the almost impossible.

Found it a very good read.

Anybody else usually red it and any thoughts

I often pick up a free copy at my club, and I tend to find its a diverting enough read. But the emphasis for me is on the "free" part. I do subscribe to both Golf Monthly and Todays Golfer and for the time being am just about happy to do so (though I can see that changing in December when both are up for review) but I don't think I would be willing to pay a similar rate for NCG. Its just a little bit thin on content to justify its cover price.

I get mine free at the golf club.

Some months it is just a quick flick through but generally as good as many another magazine.
