In the last month or so, MyEG seems to randomly select the tee for your playing partners. Despite all playing off yellows, it has randomly set some players off whites (and even once off reds, I didn't even think out course was set up for men off reds)

There doesn't seem to be any way to change the tee either, which is rubbish as it can't be fixed (or, if someone was genuinely playing off a different tee, I guess it can't be set?)

Anyone else noticed this. Also happened to my mate quite a few times

We used to notice it if you added someone to your round before they had started the round

Once everyone had started a round and then you entered them the tees would be correct

It happens at our place too. We thought it was a local problem. Good to know it's not, sort of. 👍

Just as an update, I reported the issue.

The reason it happens is to do with the default markers set by the Club. If you set up a scorecard, and your playing partners have not done so yet, then the App sets them to the "default markers"

The solution (as PJ87 has already discovered) is to wait until they have also set up their round in the App before adding them, then it should have them teeing off the correct tee (although bit annoying in my case, because it isn't often that all the other players I play with are actually entering a score on MyEG).

Hopefully that is the short term solution. At least EG know about it, so I'm sure it is on their list of things to resolve going forward
