It's 2021, who's using white spirit?? ?

If you do grips more than just once, get some proper grip fluid, much better all round.

But you still have to take the backing paper off ??

It's 2021. All the cool kids are using compressed air.

But you still have to take the backing paper off ??

The on real difference between the two is that solvent is non flammable and often has something like citrus added to reduce the smell.

As I do my grips in the garden I do not have to worry about either and there is always white spirit in the shed for other DIY purposes.

I once tried something else and it removed all the silk screening on the labels and shafts.

I run out and it's a five minute walk to the local builders merchants to get some more.
