Two things that've already been noted, but worth repeating. you take too long to play your shots! I'd be pulling my hair out waiting for ya! ;-)

apart from that I think you have a lovely swing, but could improve it untold be hitting the ball with more authority. You don't have to make any conscious moves to do this other than be more aggressive through the ball.

the way to get this feeling is to reign in your backswing to 1/2 and 3/4 swings concetrating on being aggressive on the through swing. You'll soon be hitting it much better and further with less effort.

Yeah I get the point on the pre shot, Am gonna cut it down, dunno how though cause that has me settled for each tee shots. My fairway play is alot quicker. Although i find that with most of the people I play with, I am just as quick around the course, if not quicker, and I play regular with about 8 different people.

To be fair I dont think I want to be hitting the ball any harder or swinging faster, my club head speed is 90mph+ and I drive 240-250 with srixon soft feels.

If I try to hit the ball any further my swing goes out of sync and the pull creeps in because the arms get ahead of the body.

My pro keeps reminding me to play the shots more with my right hand and unhinge the wrists later in the swing, to whip the ball away, once i start doing that mixed with the proper rotaion and less sliding, i hit the ball pretty well.

Thanks for your thoughts guys, I appreciate it. Keep em coming!

Work on a pre shot routine on the range. Get it grooved so that it becomes second nature.
It will help with your whole game I guarantee.

BTW Srixon soft feels are like bricks!

Summer is here why dont you move to a performance ball?

Soft feels are softer than 333's! I think they are the softest ball srixon do though i may be wrong it could be the Z-URS.

I have a pre shot routine, it is grooved and second nature, its just a bit to long!

Yes mate Soft! They really are, they are normally 10-20 yards less long off the driver than 333's. and spin a little more too.

I have been playing with 333's for a few months and just switched to soft feels two weeks ago. They are noticably softer!

Speaking to a couple of sales men in the local shops it seem the best ball out at the mo are callaway HX tour. They are as soft as prov's and a good 30 yards longer acording to some.

Cant really comment my self as i aint used them but i will consider them in future!

Anyway, I am hijacking my own post here!

I bought a doz of the new Callaway tour ix and I really dont like the feel off the putter. Only got empirical evidence but it didnt seem any longer than the Pro v1x so I will be going back to them.

They span up too much as well.

Cheers Lewis, I may post my putting stroke in next few weeks, that is very unorthadox. 'Davethepro' did film me sinking a nice 10 footer the other day, well he said he did but he forgot to press record, typical aye!

Yes the club is custom fitted. My pro did mention about the hands being a bit far out it helps me maintain the 'triangle'.

This i will work on, and now looking back at it, i could do with maybe leaning over slightly more to get the weight on the instep/balls of feet.

Bluddy hell 250 yards off that swing and it looked effortless, your handicap should definitely be lower.

And as for the HX tour balls, they are very good but still not better than a pro v in my opinion.

I tried a Pro v1 with the new swing yesterday, wow what a ball, With that i drove consistent 250 as apposed(sp) to now and then with the srixon soft feels.

It is effortles, I probably swing at about 60-70% power. If i tried to knock the skin off it, i would have to walk further right!
