My Funeral

7 years ago my son bought for me a burial plot in a woodland burial site. I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet.

My funeral music depends on the method of my final disposal:

Cremation - Light my fire, the Doors, the really long version
Burial - Going underground, The Jam

I've always fancied Deeper Underground by Jamiroquai... or Bohemian Rhapsody, just to make everyone stand and listen to the whole song with all the hard rock bits. Apparently it is a very popular song for a funeral!

Happy birthday dad!!

To be fair, while a morbid subject, i went to see my grandparents the other week, asked what they had been up to, they said they had been to book and pay for their funerals. Sensible thinking, they signed their house to my mum 15 years ago to "avoid" inheritance tax etc..

i have also planned mine, got the plot in the woodland cemetery but was planning to give everyone who turned up a cd with a little introduction from me and the music i had chosen for the service, just picturing peoples faces when they stuck it on the car stereo months later and heard me telling a few jokes makes me chuckle.
