My experiment this weekend

This weekend I tried a little experiment. It was inspired by a rather shocking tee shot on the 4th using my hybrid, which got me in all sorts of trouble. For holes 1,2,3 & 5-10 I used only irons. Despite some dodgy putting I racked up 18pts and played pretty well. For hole 4 & 11-18 I used woods off the tee (except on the two par 3s) and scored 10pts. Five of that 'back nine' total came on the two par 3's.

Something tells me I might needs a lesson on something...

I feel your pain Tiger! I am playing later on today and I will be leaving the driver at home,maybe leave my woods and take just irons and new Baffler hybrid.I will be getting another lesson in woods asap too,do it man,you know it makes sense!

I used to hit my hybrid of the tee perfect everytime, so i didnt use my driver. then half way through a good round a just started hooking every hybrid tee shot. i continued to do this for 2 more rounds. so iv moved back to the driver off the tee, using the irons from the tee on the shorter holes. need more practive with my driver but iv stopped the slicing, which is why i changed to the hybrid in the first place.

tbf the last few courses iv played, i got tee shot with the hybrid was more than enough. granted it didnt leave me with a sw to the green but 7i upward. but now its went tits up so its back to driving. just bought a ping g10 so gonna see how that goes
