I`m guessing you all have other dark and sinister secrets looking at the responses so far... ;)

For my part, the shame comes in the form of ABBA.

However, I would like to try for some redemption by reminding everyone of the tight fitting jumpsuits. Mmmmmm :D ;) :p

this is a terrible admission for a southerner but I actually like some pipe music. under the right circumstances it can really make the hairs stand up.

I remember Auburn Warrior telling me that Mr Squibb, his music master at school, was always telling him that it was difficult to beat his organ although apparently AW got an A+ for his efforts.

Roger..... :(

I told you that in confidence...

Gary Numan.
Love it.
Went to see him at the indig02 last December and again in Brighton a few weeks ago when he was at a small venue called the Concorde2. My 19yr old daughter Lydia loves him too and came with me both times, in fact the Brighton gig was her idea as I didn't even know he was down there. She found out and treated me to a ticket (although I have given her the money back two or three times over since then when I work it out )
Also love ABBA, been to see 2 or 3 Bjorn Again concerts which were great fun.
I'd really love to see Erasure perform one of their Christmas shows. I love their music, great for parties.
And I love Michael Jackson. Whatever you think of the guy, he was a genius showman, great dancer, great singer. He had it all as an entertainer.
I saw him at Wembley in the 80's (cant' rememeber the exact year). Was miles away from the stage but still remember it as a great night.
Also saw S Club 7 with my daughter when she was about 12
and I used to have a crush on Lisa from Steps

Funny you should mention Gary Numan, in his younger days he was a drinking buddy of my dad and his mate dave!

My top 10 songs of all-time usually make my mates either puke, laugh or both.

1 - Take me home (Phil Collins)
2 - Something happened on the way to heaven (Phil Collins)
3 - Never gonna give you up (Rick Astley)
4 - Electric Dreams (Oakey and Moroder)
5 - Red red wine (UB40)
6 - You came (Kim Wilde)
7 - Take on me (A-Ha)
8 - Wish I had a photograph of you (Flock of Seagulls)
9 - A little respect (Erasure)
10 - Criticise (Alexander O'Neal)

Saw Erasure a few times in the late 80s/early 90s. Always made sure I took my girlfriend at the time along in case I got picked up. If only I'd worn white trousers in those days eh? :p

Anything, song/artist that you really like but feel perhaps slightly embarassed to admit to?

Hundreds....but that list DOESN'T include Dire Straits or Bruce Springsteen, both of which I detest with a passion.
Nor does it include any Stock, Aitken and Waterman.
AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES.....Russel Watson or That Welsh cross-over bint that looks tasty but fails to deliver in any other aspect at all.
and probably the most hated of all.....Dido....her of the repetitious minor 3rd-based melodies and tawdry A minor - E7

I think having 2 music degrees doesn't help.

Better with a Bb instument, the sound of a great cornet player is amazing, even if I am blowing my own trumpet :D
