Hobbits's new home. Great welcome, and all comps are drawn. Hopefully, less chance of all the cross outs I experienced this year at the club I joined in January.

Practice ground for a few weeks, till the wrist heals. As for the putting green! Jeez, its like glass. Love it.

Great place, only downside is its off mats in the winter or at least it was when I had a uni match there a few years back. Ridiculous the amount of spin you get off them things into the greens

I'm not a links lover, but I'm very jealous.

When we played it, it didn't bowl me over visually, but I walked off thinking what a very very good golf course it was.

Free advice: The first is just a 3 wood to 5yds short of the green. You're welcome. ;)
If there's a hurricane behind you!

Good stuff Bri, Sounds a great course going off the reports from the recent meet up there.
Glad you've found somewhere that suits

Really pleased for you Brian, I think it's a good choice 2nd only to the Royal next door. As I said, it is the sort of course I'd be happy playing day in, day out

The welcome from members we received and the hospitality was awesome. The course is also a beauty. I hope its not as windy as it was when we played all the time !! I dont think you will regret it.

Will you provide (have you?) feedback to the club on why you left ? I think its really bad what you have endured there.

Congrats Bri - great course.

No Cruden bay, mind, but still a cracking course.:)

Not planning on "accidentally straying" onto Royal Aberdeen are you after 8pm in the summer are you? Easy mistake to make.;)

I absolutely loved Murcar. Even the 40mph wind couldn't spoil it. I've said a few times that if I was living in Aberdeen, Murcar is where I'd join. Simple par 4 to start, then it really gets going. Love it....

Used to be a member there - can be really testing on a blowy day when they let the rough get up! I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

P.S. Haven't seen your other thread - was it another local club you've had the issues at?

Totally agree. Definitely would be my choice.

Some of the greens can be a bit tricky though Andy.

Enjoy and hope you get a better welcome than the other place. I'm sure you will judging by the experience we had there.

P.s. I've heard the 1st hole is an easy 50/50 birdie opportunity.

I played it twice, two pars. Think they may have been my only pars on the whole trip.

Lovely course and a great welcome. View of the 18th green from the club house aint to shabby either. Cracking choice.

Birdied the first, had 8 points after 3 holes. Then... Simply couldnt get off the tee and probably shouldve walked in. Most down ive ever felt playing golf
