We have got our club champs this Sunday over 36 holes. I have a Motocaddy S1 Digital with 18 hole battery, but just wanted to see if anyone here has had any experience of attempting 36 holes with a motocaddy 18 hole battery before. Main reason being I don't want to get caught short on the 2nd 18 when I'm already likely to be feeling tired.

Thanks.

I would take your charger with you and as soon as you finish 1st round stick your battery on charge. This will top it up and should be good for another 18 this is what I do and never had a problem with going flat. This is all subject to how long between rounds you got. A Hour should charge it ok any less you will struggle

Just be careful, i did this a couple of years ago with an 18 hole mocad, but battery was never the same and had to change it a couple of months later. Could you not borrow another 18 hole battery from a friend?

I have the s3 digital and an 18 hole battery and frequently use it over 18 holes with no problems.

Its now over 2 years old and not as strong as it used to be but still ok! Which battery do you have....i think some of the earlier ones were a bit dodgy!

Depends on how old your current battery is and how well you've looked after it. My previous 18 hole S1 battery lasted a few years and in that time it did several 36 hole comps. If its the Panasonic lead acid you'll be ok to put it on charge between rounds. If its the Lithium ion one it will suffer if its taken off charge before fully charged - Google battery memory effect...

Thanks guys. Tee times are 7.56 and 12.56 so if the first 18 overruns then won't have long to charge it. I will either try and borrow a friends that isn't playing or take my push trolley for the first 18 holes.
