Most important club in your bag?

Going to agree with the majority here, all about a decent putter but don't feel like you need to spend £240 on a Scotty for it to be a decent putter. Putting is all about feel and confidence and what you like. I tried every single putter American Golf had to offer from the £19.99 RAM putters to the £239 Scotty Cameron and finally settled on the Ping Scottsdale Wolverine at £109.99. It has a nice balance to it, has a nice insert which feels quite soft to me, I putted better with that than any of the other putters on the shelf.

Make sure though that you get measured up and get the correct length putter.

Hi . Firstly good luck with your exams.

In regards to your question , if you look at what I use, you will find I have a different view than most on here.

firstly, ALL clubs are as important as the next. It's no good being a red hot putter, only to find your hitting most you tee shots in the woods, OOB or no further than the ladies tees.

If I were you, go and try a few sets at the local range or retail store (and don't be pushed into the commission makers!) find the club that suits you and your game. I use a Dunlop putter that cost me £7 about 3 years ago. I have a fair few in the garage and this one stays in the bag. I like how it sits, feels of the face and it gives me confidence.

While I'm not saying "go buy Dunlop" just be happy with your choice and know it is right for you. Wether it is Ping, Titleist or Even John Letters, if it works for you, then great.

Happy golfing!
