Thought I would share this with you, played in a strokeplay competition yesterday at my club, weather was awful really chucking down after 10mins clubs soaked, i was soaked....1st hole skied a drive, 2nd shot 3 iron shank, 3rd shot 3 iron shank behing trees, 4th shot 8 iron over trees, on green for 5 and 2 puts...crap start off 10 treble bogey, stood on next tee feeling peed off cold wet miserable...then I had a reality check, a guy i used to play regularly with at my old club died last week 43 years old, i thought, bet he would rather have played, what ever the weather, i remember him as one who never complained, with those thoughts i pulled my self together and pared the next 4 holes, the round carried on in that style and I ended up with a 66.
Moral, however bad the game is, however the weather , your gold or anything gets you down, things could be a lot lot worse for you or your family.
Sorry about the long story.
