as some of you may know that i was wanting a scotty cameron squareback. However, i have come to my senses and realised that it is just too expensive even if it does hold it's value for a few years. therefore i have been looking for a new putter with a smaller price tag. Having tried out several putters and looking online i think i will go for a mizuno.
But does anyone know why they are only £68.50 at online golf and Nevada bob's? i was told that it was because a massive order was made and therefore enabled them to sell them soo cheaply however why is tho other as cheap?

Possibly as you state, but it may also be that people are not looking at a Mizuno putter as a first choice. Touble is Mizuno is not a big name in putters. The actual manufacturer, Bettinardi, is a specialised manufacturer. They are very nice putters indeed imo.

I don't like the bettinardi as the ball seems to fly off the face. It has a very hard face and I couldn't get on with it. I agree Mizuno aren't a big name in the putter market but if you find a putter you like then it shouldn't matter what the brand is as long as the ball goes in the cup

I'm afraid it's a very personnal thing. So it's your choice.

Though I do have a BC3, and I'm now starting to get used to it. Last 2 rounds were 34 putts, and I play off 27.

To say that Mizuno don't do putters is nonsense. The Bettinardis are gorgeous putters. For that kind of money I'd get one. I got mine cheap, and it's the only piece of kit I worry about being nicked. At that price I might be tempted to try a different type or model. Either for use now or later in my golf journey.

There is a review of the Bettinardi putter on the review part of the forum.

you know what, im going to buy one now. C-01 34" yes please

I will do my bit to boost our economy. now where did i leave my credit card :D

I bought mine for £68.50 from online golf (a C01 34") and absolutely love it. A nice soft feel off the milled face and I've never been so accurate, if they don't go in, they dont miss by much.

Simply the best £68 I've spent in ages, and my favourite club in the bag.

I've just started using a Bettinardi. It feels nice and the ball comes off the face a treat. It's just a shame I can't putt at the moment.
Played last Thursday, 1st hole (par 4) put my second shot to within 6 feet. Would be nice to start the round with a birdie I thought. Walked off with a bogie....
After an "expected" bogie at the long par 4 2nd I hit a lovely 9 iron to about 8ft at the 3rd for another birdie opportunity. Walked off with yet another bogie. I'm really suffering on the greens at the moment. My round, which could have started 3,5,3 went 5,5,5.
I've got a "Yes" Tracey sitting in the cupboard under the stairs which I haven't even tried yet. I might just put it in my bag for Thursdays game to see if that will give me a bit of confidence. But deep down I know it's me, not the club.

They are good apparently. A few at my club use them and i have used them on the putting green and liked them.

Another good putter that i tried at NevadaB's is the nike unitized ones for sale at only £39.99 at direct golf!

Never comprimises are brilliant IMO - kind of regretting selling mine now. Have a look at oddyseys too - some good deals around on them.

well played with mine last night in general play and shot 2 under gross after 7 (then the weather drove us off - if ypu read my other post you will know this) and after 7 holes i had only taken an amazing 9 putts!!

highly recommendable and have even had offers to swap it for a scotty or a yes
