First up, my name is Mark and I am a Mizuno fan boy. Its been 3 weeks since my last purchase of a Mizuno branded product. Waits for applause.
I currently have Mizuno MP-57s in the bag, but realistically, from now on I know I will not be able to play or practice often enough to use them properly. The pitching wedge loft is 47 degrees. I have MPT-11 52/56/60 wedges (one of them bought from Smiffy!), which I like very much. So the PW - AW gap is 5 degrees.
I am looking to sell the MP-57s (3-PW with almost new yellow New Decade grips if anyone is interested) and get MX-300, which are more my level these days. Sacrificing workability is not an issue any more!
BUT, the PW loft in MX-300 is 45 degrees. Will I notice the increased gap between the PW and AW? Or should I maybe go PW (45) - 50 - 54 - 58?
I'm not too shabby with the 60, but again, a 58 instead of a 60 will give a little more ease of use. I'm sure Bobmac will approve.
I'm not too fussed about incurred cost here, this is golf we are talking about!!
