Mike Ashley is here to stay.

It's 10 minutes off the M1 - hardly in the middle of nowhere.

Come down to Silvermere, the shop is huge and has more branded clothes, clubs, shoes and accessories than you've ever heard of, 50 bay range all with top tracer, putting green, short game area, 20+ teaching pros, decent enough 18 hole course, restaurant and bar. And no Mike Ashley in site.

I'll buy the beer.

This place is way bigger than Silvermere - way, way bigger!!!

Don't think that he'd open a chain of stores like AG think more like Ikea, one massive store with a big catchment area, only needs around 12 stores nationwide.

For those of you wondering why, it's where Mike Ashley has his distribution. All the stores he has there are Flagship stores, but they are in an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere. They are all HUGE! His sports direct there has the usual rubbish..but also a lot of nicer stuff too. He has a flannels store there which has the biggest consignment of Gucci in the UK. Why? Because it's right on the doorstep of his offices/distribution so its easy for him to stick it all there...not to mention the cost of buildings that size would be ridiculous anywhere more "convenient". But if he can double up his warehouse space and use it as retail also...it's a win-win for Mr Ashley and his empire.
