Might have to quit the game - just knackered my back with a 'conventional' swing

Thanks for all the kind sentiments guys (and girls), much appreciated

You think 6319yds for a par 70 is a bit short Murph?

Hope its not too bad pal....Might have been a blessing in disguise with the journey your were going to embark on to get to scratch....;)C'mon away over here with your gammy back and my messed up leg we'd look some sight knocking balls around my course....

LOL... oh the irony! Today was going to be something to compare to, first round and all that.. all I've got now as a measure is that I completed exactly 1 hole :D

Sorry to hear that James, just when you were feeling motivated to have a real crack at getting lower as well. Hope you get back soon.

Sorry to hear about the injury. Osteo really did help me with my back issues and I would srecommend going to Osteo before going to Physio. Get well soon

Nowt to do with the 1 "orthdox" swing fella. Most likely caused by long term damage swinging with that S&T incorrectness...........

On a serious note, sympathize with you, have suffered from back problems for 30 years..... Doesn't stop me playing, the key is regular stretching, and keep moving it, especially when it starts to stiffen up. If you lay up, it will just stiffen up more, and take longer to loosen.

Definitely worth getting some treatment, whether it be sports physio, osteo or chiro - preferably with someone recommended. The'll be able to show you the best exercises to keep it in shape after. Don't stop doing the exercises once it's righted itself, stick with them forever more and it will help prevent it happening again, because if you don't it probably will.

Sorry to hear about your back, is it feeling any better today? Hope your back enjoying your S&M swinging in the near future

Instead of feeling like I've snapped my spine it feels more like I've been punched... just a huge dull ache. Wouldn't want to move too fast but I'm up and around. The thought of lashing a driver makes me feel physically sick so I'm not sure where this is going... might be right as rain in a week or not. Whatever happens I'll have to go see a Chiropractor at some stage just to find out what's going on. Didn't go to the hospital as I've only just woken up  (it was killing me and I was up 'til 6am) then hobbled the kids to school at 9 :(
