Just played our first medal of the season off my new handicap of 22.9, as Igot cut Saturday from 25.3. After a crazy day at work had a quick turnaround and out at 4.30 and managed to shoot my best round ever of 84 for a net 61. I am delighted and enjoying a beer to celebrate. Can anyone work out what my new handicap might be? The CSS was 70. Thanks in advance.

Isn't it 0.4 per stroke under the CSS, so 9 x 0.4 = 3.6 off your 22.9 making your new handicap 19.3??

Either way, great shooting!

Is the right answer , good scoring

I thought you come down .4 to you get to 20 then its .3 making a h/c of 19.8.

Might be wrong on this though :D

8 shots at 0.4 is 3.2 off which takes him to 19.7 , this still leaves him in cat 4 so the last shot still comes off at 0.4 and takes him to 19.3

Unless.............. :)

7 x 0.4 = 2.8

brings you down to 20.1, so now you're off 20
Then 2 x 0.3 = 0.6
Take away from the first number you thought of (20.1) and you get 19.5
So you're playing off 20

Unless you had a 10 in there somewhere (unlikely I know)
