H/C Cut - Question

Yesterday I managed to win what I thought was a medal round but instead was a stableford Qualifier.

I had a wonderful round (for me ha ha) shot 83 gross -22 for a Net 61 the CSS played to 71. Found out today I have been cut to 18.8 which is great, however I have since had 4 phone calls off regular guys I play with saying that there is no way the club can cut me this much, while asking me what colour of sombrero I would like.

I wont be arguing about it because I am genuinely happy my hard work is paying off and if im honest I think my new handicap is correct for the level of golf I have been playing recently.

Just thought I would ask the question really, is it a legal cut 3.6 shots does seem an awful lot for one rounds golf.

Sounds right to me, 10 under CSS, 6 X 0.4, and 4 X 0.3 = 3.6 cut.

Any scores that would be stableford adjusted as they were too high ?

Thats the weird thing, if you go on how did I do there is no actual record of the comp and the results I only show top 3

It's there or there abouts. the computer will have worked it all out so I wouldn't bother too much as long as you put the right numbers in.

I was cut 3.8 shots for shooting a nett 63 last week so it does happen

If you shoot another good round in the near future you can expect an ESR (Exceptional Scoring Reduction) cut too

No limit to how much you can get cut from a qualifier, you get the cut due from each catorgory as you move through.
You were 10 under but a 4 shot cut is excessive? Shoot the same score again and you are still -7 and would get another 2.1 cut. Would take a few rounds to for your handicap to catch up.
