Having watched the game last night (as a total neutral) - it's really clear that Steven Gerrard carries Liverpool more than I remember! Aside from him and Suarez, they are very mediocre, that rick back has potential though.
Everton were very poor and/or didn't want it as much as Liverpool. They had the B-team out, understandably with the FA Cup looming on Saturday, but still could have made a better game of it. Pienaar is absolutely horrible and played a part in the second goal after needlessly losing the ball.
Nothing they could do about the 1st goal, unlucky for the ball to fall to Stevie G's feet (anyone else would have hoofed it over the bar) and by the time the 3rd goal was scored, Everton had all but given up.
Entertaining game though and the cleanest Merseyside Derby I've watched in ages!
